Santa Cruz is an island in Ecuador’s Galápagos National Park. It is the only place in the world where you can see three types of colored footed boobies, marine iguanas, penguins in the northern hemisphere, and so much more!!

Las Grietas are part of a volcanic fracture that extends from Punta Estrada to the western end of Bahía Academia and extends for several kilometers inland.

If you plan on visiting them, make sure to take water shoes and your snorkeling kit!! 🤿

The Eagle rays a group of cartilaginous fishes in the family Myliobatidae, consisting mostly of large species living the open ocean rather than on the sea bottom.

They feed on mollusks and crustaceans, crushing their shells with their flattened teeth.

They are excelente swimmers and are able to breach the water up to several meters above the surface.

They are ovoviviparus, giving birth to up to six young at time. They range from 0.48 to 5.1 m in length and 7 m (23 ft) in wingspan.

Diving in the Galapagos has to be one of the best experiences I have had!

Claudia from @Scuba Iguana was amazing!! She took us to the best locations and ensured we felt safe and had an excellent experience underwater!

We got to see sharks, turtles, sea lions and hundreds of colorful fish!!

If you are planning on going to the Galapagos, here is a list of things you can't forget!

  1. Good shoes ( you will be walking a lot)
  2. A camera and a pair of binoculars
  3. Snorkeling equipment ( most places offer it, but it is better to have your own)
  4. Sunscreen a lot of sunscreens (the sun on the equator is a lot stronger than in many places!

Have you ever wondered why red-footed boobies have red feet?

During the breeding season, they use their pretty red feet to attract mates!! ✨

If you are planning to come to Santa Cruz, Galapagos, and would like to see them, you can't forget to bring a good pair of binoculars and a camera with a good zoom.

Make sure you also book tours with locals, they always know how to spot them!

Marine Iguanas, only exist in the Galapagos Islands.

You can see them swimming in the sea, warming up on beautiful white-sand beaches, or grouped up on the rocks.
