The Great Lodge
Welcome to The Great Lodge, one of Canada's largest log buildings in a region steeped in our early history. Located on the shores of Georgian Bay near Christian Island and the site of the first Jesuit mass in Ontario, The Great Lodge is owned by descendants of Susanna Moodie and Catharine Parr Trail, pioneers immortalized as the Sisters in the Wilderness. The Great Lodge is part family compound, part museum, and on rare occasions each season opened up to guests for memorable occasions.
